Message text: Source package number for field &1-&2 (to be converted) is not unique
No unique source package number was specified for field &V1&-&V2&,
which is going to be converted. The reason for this probably is that a
multitude of source packages in which field &V1&-&V2& is converted has
been blended. This is only possible if a common routine (for example
from a higher-level package) is used. Normally, it is up to the
higher-level routine to take care of any required determination and
delimitation.
Assignment of a determination path is possible only if the source
package number is unique. For field &V1&-&V2&, determination is
switched off by the org. package.
Normally, no action is required at this point. If you do want to store
a determination by the org. package for field &V1&-&V2&, you first have
to specify a source package number, then revoke the decision to switch
off the determination, and re-assign a determination. Note that from
this point onwards any existing delimitation refers exactly to this
source package.
<zh>CWB context:</> You can find the possible source package number and
their assignment to the main source package numbers for your package
&V3& by running transaction CNV_10030_SCENARIO.

- Source package number for field &1-&2 (to be converted) is not unique ?The SAP error message CNV_10020250 indicates that there is a problem with the source package number for a specific field during a data conversion process. This error typically arises in the context of data migration or conversion projects, particularly when using SAP's data migration tools.
Cause:
The error message "Source package number for field &1-&2 (to be converted) is not unique" suggests that there are multiple entries in the source data that correspond to the same package number for the specified field. This lack of uniqueness can lead to ambiguity during the conversion process, as the system cannot determine which entry to use.
Solution:
To resolve this error, you can follow these steps:
Identify the Duplicate Entries:
- Review the source data for the specified field (indicated by &1 and &2 in the error message).
- Use SQL queries or data analysis tools to find duplicate entries for the package number.
Clean Up the Data:
- Once you have identified the duplicates, you will need to decide how to handle them. Options include:
- Merging duplicate records if they represent the same entity.
- Removing unnecessary duplicates if they are not needed for the conversion.
- Ensuring that each entry has a unique identifier or package number.
Adjust the Mapping:
- If the duplicates are valid and necessary, you may need to adjust the mapping or transformation logic in your data migration tool to handle these cases appropriately.
Re-run the Conversion:
- After cleaning up the data and ensuring uniqueness, re-run the conversion process to see if the error persists.
Consult Documentation:
- Check SAP documentation or notes related to the specific data migration tool you are using for any additional guidance or best practices.
