Message text: &1: Object type &3 has already been assigned to &2
The relationships between the source and target determination objects
are stored in the object tables. To facilitate a unique assignment to a
determination path, you need to assign an ID for paths that use a
combination of source and target determination object that already
occurs for another path.
It was found that &V1& uses the same combination of source and target
determination object as &V2&, which already has object type &V3& as its
ID.
In the object type field, enter an ID that is not yet used by any other
path that has the same combination of source and target determination
object.
<zh>Note:</> For an elementary relationship that uses OBJNR as source
determination object OBJNR, it is mandatory to specify the object type
to be determined.

- &1: Object type &3 has already been assigned to &2 ?The SAP error message CNV_10020246 typically occurs during data migration or conversion processes, particularly when using the SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit or similar tools. This error indicates that an object type (like a business partner, material, or other entities) is being assigned to a target entity that has already been assigned to another source entity.
Cause:
- Duplicate Assignments: The object type you are trying to assign has already been linked to another target object. This can happen if the same object is being processed multiple times or if there are overlapping data entries in the source system.
- Data Integrity Issues: There may be issues with the data integrity in the source system, leading to conflicts during the migration process.
- Configuration Errors: Incorrect configuration settings in the migration tool or the mapping of source to target objects can lead to this error.
Solution:
- Check for Duplicates: Review the data in the source system to identify any duplicate entries for the object type in question. Ensure that each object is unique and not assigned to multiple targets.
- Data Cleanup: If duplicates are found, clean up the data in the source system to ensure that each object is only assigned once. This may involve merging records or removing unnecessary duplicates.
- Review Migration Mapping: Check the mapping configuration in the migration tool to ensure that the source and target objects are correctly defined and that there are no overlaps.
- Re-run the Migration: After making the necessary adjustments, re-run the migration process to see if the error persists.
- Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or notes related to the specific migration tool you are using for any additional troubleshooting steps or known issues.
