- For intern. num. gen. obj. No. type &, no determ. has been defined yet ?The SAP error message CNV20551511 typically relates to issues with the internal number generation for objects in the SAP system. This error indicates that there is no determination defined for the specified object type, which means that the system cannot generate a number for that object.
Cause:
- Missing Configuration: The most common cause of this error is that the internal number range for the specified object type has not been configured in the system.
- Object Type Not Defined: The object type you are trying to use may not be defined in the system, or it may not have a corresponding number range assigned to it.
- Transport Issues: If the configuration was recently transported from another system, it may not have been set up correctly in the target system.
Solution:
Check Number Range Configuration:
- Go to the relevant configuration transaction (e.g.,
SNRO
for number ranges).- Check if the number range object for the specified type is defined.
- If it is not defined, you will need to create a new number range object and assign it to the relevant object type.
Define Number Range:
- If the number range object exists but is not assigned, you can assign it to the object type.
- Ensure that the number range is active and has valid intervals defined.
Review Object Type:
- Verify that the object type you are trying to use is correctly defined in the system.
- If necessary, consult the documentation or configuration guides for the specific module you are working with.
Transport Configuration:
- If the issue arose after a transport, check the transport logs to ensure that all necessary objects and configurations were transported correctly.
- You may need to manually configure the number range in the target system if it was not included in the transport.
