Message class: CNV20551 - message for package 20551 (company code delete)
Message number: 129
Message text: Asset &1 &2 &3 is deleted, CCtr &4 for cost-acctg deprec. remains
The asset (company code=&V1&, ANLN1=&V2&, ANLN2=&V3& ) and the cost
center &V4& are in different company codes. The system found that the
asset will be deleted, while the cost center that was assigned to it in
the master record (for cost-accounting depreciation purposes) will
remain intact.
This means that the depreciation postings in FI-AA and FI-GL will be
deleted, while in CO the postings for cost-accounting depreciation will
remain intact. This is not really a problem, however it means that the
costs can be evaluated only in CO reporting, not in asset accounting.

- Asset &1 &2 &3 is deleted, CCtr &4 for cost-acctg deprec. remains ?The SAP error message CNV20551129 indicates that an asset has been deleted, but there is still a cost center (CCtr) associated with it for cost accounting depreciation. This situation typically arises during data migration or when assets are being managed in the system.
Cause:
- Asset Deletion: The asset specified in the error message has been deleted from the system.
- Cost Center Association: Despite the deletion of the asset, there is still a reference to a cost center for depreciation purposes. This can happen if the asset was linked to a cost center for accounting entries, and the system is trying to process depreciation for a non-existent asset.
Solution:
- Check Asset Status: Verify the status of the asset in question. If it has been deleted, ensure that all related entries in the system are also updated or removed.
- Review Cost Center Assignments: Check the cost center assignments related to the deleted asset. If the asset is no longer valid, you may need to remove or update the cost center assignments to prevent the system from trying to process depreciation for a deleted asset.
- Adjust Depreciation Settings: If the asset was deleted intentionally, ensure that the depreciation settings for the cost center are adjusted accordingly. This may involve updating the configuration in the Asset Accounting module.
- Data Migration Review: If this error occurred during a data migration process, review the migration logic to ensure that all dependencies (like cost centers) are handled correctly when assets are deleted.
- Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or notes related to asset accounting and data migration for any specific instructions or guidelines that may apply to your situation.
