Message text: Incorrect sequence of fields for table &1 was defined
If the MULTICOPY indicator is set for a table, the sequence of the
fields in this table (as defined by the field SEQNUM) must meet the
following condition:
SEQNUM(MCPOS = 'L') >= SEQNUM(MCPOS = 'F') >= SEQNUM(MCPOS = SPACE)
This condition means the following:
The SEQNUM of all entries in the table CNVFIELDS with MCPOS = 'L' must
be greater than or equal to the SEQNUM of all other entries
The SEQNUM of all corresponding entries in the table CNVFIELDS with
MCPOS = SPACE must be less than or equal to the SEQNUM of all other
entries
This is not the case for the table &V1&.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
Correct the corresponding entries in the table CNVFIELDS accordingly.

CNV810
- Incorrect sequence of fields for table &1 was defined ?The SAP error message CNV810 indicates that there is an incorrect sequence of fields defined for a specific table in the context of data conversion or migration. This error typically arises during the execution of a data migration project, particularly when using SAP's Data Migration tools or the SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit.
Cause:
The error is caused by a mismatch in the expected order of fields in a table compared to what is defined in the data migration structure. This can happen due to:
- Incorrect Mapping: The fields in the source data do not match the expected sequence in the target table.
- Changes in Table Structure: If the table structure has been modified (e.g., fields added, removed, or reordered) after the migration structure was defined.
- Configuration Issues: Incorrect configuration in the migration settings or templates.
Solution:
To resolve the CNV810 error, you can follow these steps:
Check Field Mapping: Review the mapping of fields between the source and target tables. Ensure that the fields are in the correct order as expected by the target table.
Review Migration Structure: If you are using a predefined migration structure, verify that it matches the current structure of the target table. If there have been changes to the target table, you may need to update the migration structure accordingly.
Adjust Data Source: If the source data is not in the correct format or order, you may need to preprocess the data to ensure it aligns with the expected structure.
Consult Documentation: Refer to the SAP documentation for the specific migration tool you are using. There may be guidelines or best practices for defining field sequences.
Test with Sample Data: Before running a full migration, test the migration process with a small set of sample data to ensure that the field sequences are correct.
Seek Help from SAP Support: If the issue persists, consider reaching out to SAP support for assistance, especially if you suspect that there may be a bug or a deeper issue with the migration tool.
Related Information:
By following these steps, you should be able to identify and correct the cause of the CNV810 error, allowing for a successful data migration process.
