    You want to maintain a freely defined reference point for BOM transfer

    As from Release 4.6A there is a fixed reference point as an entity in
    Customizing. It is can be maintained both in BOM and network
    maintenance. This new reference point is used in BOM transfer, if no
    freely definable reference point has been entered
    The freely definable reference point has been retained, for reasons of
    compatibility and can be used as an assignment criteriion as an
    alernative to the fixed reference point.

    Decide which reference point you want to use in BOM transfer.
