This error typically occurs in the context of the SAP Customer Management System (CMS) or similar modules where relationships between different business objects (like customers, products, etc.) are defined.

    Cause:

The error is triggered when you attempt to create or modify a relationship that exceeds the maximum number of allowed source objects for that particular relationship type. 1. Check Relationship Type Limits: Review the configuration of the relationship type you are working with to understand the maximum number of source objects allowed. This can usually be found in the customizing settings of the SAP system.

    2. Reduce the Number of Sources: If you have more source objects than allowed, you will need to either:

      • Remove some of the existing source objects from the relationship.
      • Create a new relationship type that allows for more sources, if applicable.
    3. Review Business Requirements: Ensure that the business requirements align with the limitations of the relationship types. If the business process requires more sources, consider discussing with your SAP functional consultant to see if adjustments can be made.

    4. Consult Documentation: Refer to the SAP documentation or help resources for specific details on the relationship types and their configurations. This can provide insights into how to manage relationships effectively.

    5. Testing: After making changes, test the relationship creation or modification process to ensure that the error no longer occurs.
