Message class: CM_EHHSS_SEG_COMMON - Common Messages for Similar Exposure Groups
Message number: 017
Message text: Only agents that are suitable for this SEG are displayed
You want to add an agent to the similar exposure group. However, the
list of agents has fewer agents than expected or no agents.
In the current similar exposure group, you can only reference objects
that match the similar exposure group's current settings. For example,
if you have created a similar exposure group for a location and a
specific job, you can only add additional agents that have been assessed
as risks in a job hazard analysis for that job at that location. The
system displays only the agents that you can add.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
For more information about how the system determines which objects are
suitable for the similar exposure group, see the
<DS:SIMG.EHHSS_SEG_GET_RISKS>BAdI: Determination of Risks for Similar
Exposure Group</>.

- Only agents that are suitable for this SEG are displayed ?The SAP error message CM_EHHSS_SEG_COMMON017 indicates that only agents suitable for a specific Service Execution Group (SEG) are being displayed. This message typically arises in the context of SAP's Health and Safety Management (EHS) module, where agents (such as chemicals or substances) are being filtered based on their suitability for a particular SEG.
Cause:
- Agent Suitability: The agents that are being displayed are filtered based on their suitability for the selected SEG. If an agent does not meet the criteria defined for that SEG, it will not be displayed.
- Configuration Issues: There may be configuration settings in the system that define which agents are suitable for which SEGs. If these settings are not correctly configured, it may lead to the error.
- Data Inconsistencies: There may be inconsistencies or missing data in the master data of agents or SEGs that prevent the correct display of suitable agents.
Solution:
- Check SEG Configuration: Review the configuration of the SEG to ensure that it is set up correctly and that the criteria for agent suitability are properly defined.
- Review Agent Data: Check the master data for the agents to ensure that they are correctly classified and that all necessary attributes are filled out. This includes checking for any missing or incorrect data that could affect their suitability.
- Adjust Filters: If applicable, adjust any filters or selection criteria in the application to broaden the search for suitable agents.
- Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or help resources for specific guidelines on configuring SEGs and agents in the EHS module.
- Testing: After making changes, test the configuration by attempting to display agents again to ensure that the issue is resolved.
