What causes this issue?

You want to create, change, or delete a class. You need a change number
for this function.
This can be for one of the following reasons:
The characteristics of this class have already been changed with a
<DS:GLOS.change_number>change number</>.
The class type is defined in Customizing such that a change number is
required.

System Response

The system checks whether the characteristics of the class have been
changed with a change number. If they have, you must enter a change
number every time you make changes.
The system checks the Customizing settings for the class type.

How to fix this error?

On the initial class maintenance screen:
Enter a valid change number.
On the characteristics screen in class maintenance:
Save your changes and call the function again with a valid change
number.
