    &V2&. However, this characteristic is unknown, that is, it has not been
    assigned within the
    <DS:GLOS.3526BC99AFAB52B9E10000009B38F974>product group hierarchy</>.
    This error can occur in data transfer when using the IDoc <LS>ARTMAS</>
    or the BAPI <LS>BAPI_MATERIAL_MAINTAINDATA_RT</> to import product
    master data.

    The classification data for the product cannot be created.

    How to fix this error?

    Check whether the characteristic transferred is correct. You may have
    forgotten to assign it within the product group hierarchy.
    If

    are used, and the characteristic has been assigned to a characteristics
    profile, the relevant characteristics profile must also be transferred
    in the IDoc or when the BAPI is called (see the

    Also make sure that the characteristics profile has been assigned to the
    product group specified for this product.
