Message text: Numeric product numbers already present in system
There are numeric Product Numbers in the system. If you activate
lexicographical product number saving they can no longer be read
correctly.
By setting the "Lex" flag the way numeric Product Numbers are saved is
changed: numeric Product Numbers are aligned left instead of right in
the tables.
Example: Product Number Length : 8
Input : 12345
Saved as (was) : 000000000000012345
Saved as (new) : 00012345__________
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
You should not have any numeric Product Numbers left in the system if
you change the save format.

Use a Different Product Number: If the product number is already in use, you will need to select a different, unique product number that is not currently assigned to any other product.
Review Number Ranges: If you are using a specific number range for product numbers, ensure that the range is correctly configured and that you are not exceeding the limits of that range.
Consult with SAP Basis or Functional Team: If you suspect that there is a system configuration issue or if you are unsure about the product number assignment, consult with your SAP Basis or functional team for assistance.
