CI401
- Operation & does not exist in general task list & ?The SAP error message CI401, which states "Operation & does not exist in general task list &," typically occurs when there is an attempt to reference an operation in a task list that does not exist. This can happen in various contexts, such as during production planning, maintenance planning, or when working with routing in SAP.
Causes:
- Missing Operation: The operation you are trying to reference in the task list is not defined in the general task list.
- Incorrect Task List: The task list you are using may not be the correct one for the operation you are trying to access.
- Data Inconsistency: There may be inconsistencies in the data, such as missing entries or incorrect references in the database.
- Authorization Issues: Sometimes, the user may not have the necessary authorizations to view or access certain operations in the task list.
Solutions:
- Check Task List: Verify that the operation you are trying to reference actually exists in the specified general task list. You can do this by navigating to the task list in SAP and checking the operations defined there.
- Correct Task List Reference: Ensure that you are using the correct task list for the operation. If you are referencing a task list that is not relevant, you will need to change it to the appropriate one.
- Create Missing Operations: If the operation is indeed missing, you may need to create it in the general task list. This can be done through the appropriate transaction code (e.g., CA01 for creating routing).
- Check Authorizations: Ensure that you have the necessary authorizations to access the task list and the operations within it. If not, contact your SAP security administrator to grant the required permissions.
- Data Consistency Check: Run a data consistency check to identify any inconsistencies in the task list or related data. This may involve using transaction codes like SE11 or SE16 to inspect the underlying database tables.
