  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message CCSEQ071 - The validity period for user &1 was exceeded: No workflow ?

The SAP error message CCSEQ071 indicates that the validity period for a user (identified by &1) has been exceeded, and as a result, no workflow can be processed for that user. This error typically arises in the context of SAP's workflow management system, particularly when dealing with user assignments and their validity periods.

    Cause:

    1. User Validity Period: Each user in SAP can have a defined validity period during which they are authorized to perform certain actions or participate in workflows. If the current date falls outside this validity period, the system will not allow the workflow to proceed for that user.

    3. Workflow Configuration: There may be issues with the workflow configuration itself, such as incorrect assignment of users or roles.

    Solution:

    1. Check User Validity:

      • Go to the user management transaction (e.g., SU01) and check the validity dates for the user in question. Ensure that the current date falls within the defined validity period.
      • If the validity period has expired, you can extend it by updating the user’s validity dates.
    2. User Status:

      • Ensure that the user is active. If the user is inactive, you may need to reactivate the user account.
    3. Workflow Configuration:

      • Review the workflow configuration to ensure that the user is correctly assigned to the workflow and that there are no misconfigurations.
      • Check the workflow logs for any additional error messages or warnings that might provide more context.
    4. Authorization Issues:

      • Ensure that the user has the necessary authorizations to participate in the workflow. This can be checked in the user roles and profiles.
    5. Consult Documentation:

      • Refer to SAP documentation or help resources for specific details related to the workflow and user management in your version of SAP.
