Note the following: If you have allocated an activity type to
operations, the system only replaces the old work center in these
operations if the activity type is also valid for the new cost center.

How to fix this error?

Choose a new work center that is assigned to the same cost center as
the work center you have used so far or use an activity type that is
valid for the new cost center.
