    You want to set the "Entry required" indicator, so that a value has to
    be assigned to this characteristic.
    Objects have already been classified using this class. An analysis of
    values already assigned has shown that, in one or more cases, no value
    has been assigned to the characteristic. This contradicts the above
    indicator.

    System Response

    The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    How to fix this error?

    Deselect the field.
    If you really want to enter this indicator, first check all values
    assigned to this characteristic and assign values wherever no value has
    been assigned.
    If you choose <LS> Environment -> Where-used list</> from the
    characteristics maintenance menu, you can find out where the
    characteristic has been used.
