Message text: Consistency of time dimension on InfoProvider &1 cannot be checked
Further time characteristics in addition to the characteristic used in a
variable with current member are used in the query. To be able to
calculate meaningful current member results, these time characteristics
need to be consistent with the characteristic used in the variable with
current member.
A characteristic can be used in different places in a query:
The characteristic is in the drilldown
A filter has been defined on the characteristic
The characteristic is a group by characteristic for retrieving a certain
key figure
A way to check the consistency of two time characteristics is to check
the consistency of the time dimension of the InfoProvider. The
consistency of the time dimension cannot be checked for InfoProvider
&V1& however.
The current member results might be misleading.

- Consistency of time dimension on InfoProvider &1 cannot be checked ?The SAP error message BRAIN_DEV053 indicates that there is an inconsistency in the time dimension of an InfoProvider. This error typically arises when there are discrepancies between the time characteristics defined in the InfoProvider and the data being processed or queried.
Cause:
- Inconsistent Time Characteristics: The time characteristics in the InfoProvider may not match the data being loaded or queried. This can happen if there are changes in the time dimension structure or if the data source has been modified.
- Missing Time Data: If the time data is missing or not properly populated in the InfoProvider, it can lead to this error.
- Data Model Changes: Changes in the underlying data model, such as modifications to the time dimension or InfoObjects, can cause inconsistencies.
- Data Load Issues: Problems during data loading processes, such as failed loads or incomplete data, can also lead to this error.
Solution:
- Check Time Characteristics: Verify that the time characteristics in the InfoProvider are correctly defined and match the data being processed. Ensure that the time dimension is consistent across all relevant InfoProviders.
- Data Consistency Check: Perform a consistency check on the InfoProvider to identify any discrepancies. This can often be done using transaction codes like RSA1 (Data Warehousing Workbench) or other relevant tools in SAP BW.
- Reprocess Data: If there are issues with the data load, consider reprocessing the data. This may involve reloading the data from the source or correcting any errors in the data extraction process.
- Review Data Model Changes: If there have been recent changes to the data model, review those changes to ensure they have been implemented correctly and that they do not conflict with existing data.
- Check for Missing Data: Ensure that all necessary time data is present in the InfoProvider. If any time periods are missing, they may need to be added or corrected.
