How To Fix BRAIN292 - Query uses selection on 0REQUID; data status '&1' -> '&2'

SAP Error Message - Details

  • Message type: E = Error

  • Message class: BRAIN -

  • Message number: 292

  • Message text: Query uses selection on 0REQUID; data status '&1' -> '&2'

  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

The query uses a selection on characteristic 0REQUID and this is set to
data integrity = '&V1&'. In this case, the average of the explicit query
selection on 0REQUID would be formed by the selection implicitly defined
    by data integrity = '&V1&'.

    System Response

Since this does have any benefits, the query is set to data integrity =
    '&V2&'.
Note that this automatically deactivates the OLAP cache.

    How to fix this error?

Using transaction RSRT, you can specify data integrity = '3'
(transaction <ZK>RSRT -> Properties -> Request Status</>). In this case,
all green requests (and the yellow request in a transactional InfoCube)
that satisfy the query selection are read.
The OLAP cache remains active when the delta process is activated.

    Procedure for System Administrators

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message BRAIN292 - Query uses selection on 0REQUID; data status '&1' -> '&2' ?

The SAP error message BRAIN292 typically occurs in the context of SAP BW (Business Warehouse) when a query is executed that involves a selection on a characteristic (in this case, 0REQUID, which is the request ID for data in the InfoProvider) that does not have any data available for the specified data status. The message indicates that the query is trying to access data that is not available or is in a different status than expected.

    Cause:

    1. Data Status Issue: The data status of the request being queried does not match the expected status. For example, the query might be looking for data that is in a "loaded" state, but the data is in a "not loaded" or "deleted" state.
    2. No Data Available: There may be no data available for the specific selection criteria used in the query.
    3. Incorrect Query Design: The query might be incorrectly designed, leading to selections that do not correspond to any existing data.

    Solution:

    1. Check Data Status: Verify the data status of the requests in the InfoProvider. You can do this by checking the data loading process and ensuring that the data is loaded and in the correct status.
    2. Adjust Query Selections: Modify the query to ensure that the selections made do not filter out all available data. This may involve changing the selection criteria or removing certain filters.
    3. Data Load: If the data is not loaded, ensure that the data loading process is executed successfully. Check the data load logs for any errors or issues that may have occurred during the loading process.
    4. Reprocess Data: If necessary, reprocess the data in the InfoProvider to ensure that it is in the correct state for querying.
    5. Check Authorizations: Ensure that the user executing the query has the necessary authorizations to access the data.

    Related Information:

    • Transaction Codes: You can use transaction codes like RSA1 (Data Warehousing Workbench) to monitor and manage data loads and InfoProviders.
    • Data Load Monitoring: Use transaction RSMO to monitor the status of data loads and check for any issues.
    • Query Designer: Use the Query Designer to review and modify the query definition to ensure it aligns with the available data.
    • SAP Notes: Check SAP Notes for any known issues or patches related to this error message.

By following these steps, you should be able to resolve the BRAIN292 error and successfully execute your query.
