BE015
- Enter conversion factors ?The SAP error message BE015, which states "Enter conversion factors," typically occurs in the context of material management or inventory management when dealing with units of measure (UoM) in SAP. This error indicates that the system requires conversion factors to be defined for the units of measure associated with a material.
Cause:
The error arises when:
- A material is being processed (e.g., during goods movement, inventory management, or when creating a material master) and the system cannot find the necessary conversion factors between the base unit of measure and the alternative units of measure.
- The material master record does not have the required conversion factors defined for the units of measure being used.
Solution:
To resolve the BE015 error, you need to ensure that conversion factors are properly defined in the material master. Here are the steps to do this:
Access the Material Master:
- Use transaction code
MM02
to change the material master record.- Enter the material number and select the appropriate views (usually the Basic Data or Purchasing view).
Define Units of Measure:
- Navigate to the "Units of Measure" section.
- Ensure that the base unit of measure is defined.
- Add any alternative units of measure that you need to use and specify the conversion factors for each.
Enter Conversion Factors:
- For each alternative unit of measure, enter the conversion factor relative to the base unit of measure. For example, if the base unit is "KG" and you have an alternative unit "G," you would enter a conversion factor of 1000 (since 1 KG = 1000 G).
Save Changes:
- After entering the necessary information, save the changes to the material master.
Re-attempt the Transaction:
- Go back to the transaction that triggered the error and try to execute it again.
