Message number: 667
Message text: A process is running for test run &1 -> &2
During a test run, you cannot start any other processes (additional
test runs or conversions). Depending on the size of the dataset in the
system, the procedure can take a long time.
Check whether the test run is still running in the relevant system
(online or in background processing), whether it is scheduled, or
whether it has been terminated due to a program error. If the process
has terminated abnormally, first solve the error and delete the
conversion log, then restart the process.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

B1667
- A process is running for test run &1 -> &2 ?The SAP error message B1667 indicates that a process is currently running in test mode for a specific job or transaction, and it cannot be executed again until the current test run is completed. This message typically arises in scenarios where a background job or a transaction is being executed in test mode, and another attempt is made to run the same job or transaction before the first one has finished.
Cause:
- Concurrent Execution: The error occurs when there is an attempt to execute a process that is already running in test mode. This can happen if a user or a background job tries to initiate the same process while it is still being executed.
- Long-Running Processes: If the process takes a long time to complete, it may lead to this error if another attempt is made to run it.
- System Configuration: Certain configurations in the SAP system may restrict concurrent executions of specific processes.
Solution:
- Wait for Completion: The simplest solution is to wait for the current test run to complete. You can check the status of the running process in transaction codes like SM37 (for background jobs) or by checking the relevant logs.
- Check Job Status: Use transaction SM37 to monitor the status of the job that is currently running. If it is taking too long, you may need to investigate why it is delayed.
- Terminate the Process: If the process is stuck or taking too long, and you have the necessary authorizations, you can terminate the running job. Be cautious with this approach, as it may lead to data inconsistencies.
- Review Configuration: If this error occurs frequently, review the system configuration to see if it is possible to allow concurrent executions or adjust the settings to better handle such scenarios.
