What causes this issue?

You are trying to change a Real Estate Business Partner whose
corresponding SAP Business Partner is currently being used in a SAP BP
application.
As parallel maintenance between the Real Estate Business Partner (TR BP)
and the SAP Business Partner is no longer available in this release,
converting this partner could lead to data being lost in SAP BP. You are
therefore not allowed to convert this partner. You are not allowed to
use the partner in the application RE Classic.
