Message text: Setup Documentation for Adaptation Transport Organizer for Key User Tools
To enable and use extensibility apps and transportation apps on the SAP
Fiori launchpad, you need to set up the adaptation transport organizer
(ATO). The ATO creates and administers ABAP packages and transport
requests in the development system prior to the release of the
transports. The ATO provides an overview of all extension items and is
the entry point for transporting extension items. To set up the ATO,
proceed as described in the following steps.
Enabling Key User Extensibility Development
Choose whether you want to use a prefix or a namespace for your packages
and transports.
<ZH>Prefix <PREFIX>_ </>describes a custom prefix that is used for your
packages and transports. <ZH>Example</>: ZZ1_<Generated Object Name>
Namespace <ZH>/<NAMESPACE>/</> describes an SAP namespace that is used
for your packages and transports. <ZH>Example</>: /NAMESP/
<Generated Object Name>
Define a local package where extension items (ABAP objects) are
initially stored.
ABAP objects located in this package can later be transported to a
target system after a reassignment. The local package needs to be
assigned to the software component "Local". <ZH>Example</>:
TEST_YY_KEY_USER_LOCAL
Define a sandbox package where extension items (ABAP objects) are stored
that are created locally.
ABAP objects located in this package are created locally and will never
be transported. The sandbox package needs to be assigned to the software
component "Local". <ZH>Example</>: TEST_YY_KEY_USER_SANDBOX
Enter a sandbox prefix to distinguish ABAP objects that must not be
transported to the production system.
Finish the setup.
<ZK>Setup with default data</>: Use this action when you set up the ATO
for the first time.
<ZK>Setup with specific data</>: Use this action to set up the ATO with
the data that you defined in this transaction.
Enabling Key User Extensibility in read only mode
Select <ZK>Setup read only</>
Disabling Key User Extensibility
Select <ZK>Delete Setup</>
Result
You have set up the ATO. You can now access extensibility apps and
transportation apps for key users on the SAP Fiori launchpad.
Enabling Key User Extensibility Development: You can now change key user
objects
Enabling Key User Extensibility in read only mode: You can now view key
user objects but not change
Locking and Unlocking ATO
You can lock or unlock the ATO. As long as the ATO is locked, the
extensibility apps for key users and transportation apps for key users
are locked as well. Thus, key users cannot change, create, or transport
extension items by using these apps on the SAP Fiori launchpad.
Registration of Job User
<ZK>Register User for Job</>
For some specific item types, you can register a job user that takes
care of the generation of artifacts related to an item. You can thus
reduce the provision of roles and authorizations for key users to a
minimum. Only the registered job user needs the roles and authorizations
required for artifact generation (e.g. S_DEVELOP...).
Define a prefix or namespace.
Define a local package and a sandbox package that are both assigned to
the software component "Local". Please use packages which will survive
the upgrade (e.g. packages which start with "TEST" ).

SAP messages fall into 3 different categories: Error messages
(message type = E), Warnings (W) or Informational (I) messages.
An error message will prevent you from continuing your work - it is a hard stop and you need to fix the error before you can proceed. A warning message will stop your work, however, you can then bypass the warning by pressing the Enter key on your keyboard. That said, it is still good practice to investigate the cause of the warning message and address it. An information message will not stop your work and is truly just for informational purposes.
