- Query contains local fields that are ignored ?The SAP error message AQ_AD_HOC053, which states "Query contains local fields that are ignored," typically occurs in the context of SAP Query or SAP BW (Business Warehouse) when you are trying to execute a query that includes local fields that are not recognized or cannot be processed in the current context.
Cause:
- Local Fields: The query may include fields that are defined locally within the query but are not part of the underlying data source or InfoProvider. These fields are often calculated fields or fields that are derived from other fields.
- Incompatibility: The local fields may not be compatible with the data model or the structure of the underlying data source.
- Query Design: The query might be designed in a way that includes local fields that are not supported in the current execution context (e.g., in a report or dashboard).
Solution:
- Review Query Design: Check the design of the query to ensure that all fields included are valid and supported. Remove or modify any local fields that are causing the issue.
- Use Global Fields: Instead of using local fields, consider using global fields that are part of the underlying data source.
- Check Field Definitions: Ensure that the local fields are correctly defined and that their calculations or derivations are valid.
- Test Query Execution: After making changes, test the query execution to see if the error persists.
- Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or help resources for specific guidelines on using local fields in queries.
