Message text: Program position &1 is not an end node in the inv.program now active
You are editing the structure of an investment program in the
enterprise organization, and want to delete program position &v1&. This
would cause the deletion of this program position in the active program
structure at the same time, that is, in the program structure that was
generated from the enterprise organization during the last generation
run.
However, this program position has directly subordinate positions in
the active program structure, and is therefore not an end node
position. In the active program structure, you are only allowed to
delete end node positions.
Deleting the program position is not allowed.
In order to delete the program position, you first have to delete the
assignment to the organizational unit. After that, you can you can
delete this program position, together with all of its subordinate
positions, in structure maintenance. (This is possible as long as the
subordinate program positions do not themselves belong to the
enterprise organization.)

APEO003
- Program position &1 is not an end node in the inv.program now active ?The SAP error message APEO003 indicates that there is an issue with the program structure in the Investment Program (inv. program) that you are trying to work with. Specifically, the error states that the program position you are trying to access or manipulate is not an end node in the active investment program. This typically means that the program position is not a final or terminal node in the hierarchy of the investment program.
Cause:
- Hierarchy Structure: The program position you are trying to access may not be defined as an end node in the investment program hierarchy. End nodes are typically the final points in a hierarchy where no further subdivisions exist.
- Incorrect Program Position: You may be trying to perform an operation (like posting or changing data) on a program position that is not meant to be a terminal point.
- Data Integrity Issues: There may be inconsistencies or errors in the investment program data that prevent the system from recognizing the program position as an end node.
Solution:
- Check Program Position: Verify that the program position you are trying to access is indeed an end node. You can do this by navigating through the investment program hierarchy in the SAP GUI.
- Review Hierarchy Structure: Ensure that the hierarchy of the investment program is correctly defined. If necessary, consult with your SAP administrator or a functional consultant to review the structure.
- Correct Data Entry: If you are entering data, ensure that you are doing so at the correct level of the hierarchy. If you need to create or modify a program position, make sure it is defined as an end node.
- Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or help resources for specific guidance on managing investment programs and their hierarchies.
- Transaction Codes: Use relevant transaction codes (like OIMT for Investment Management) to navigate and check the investment program structure.
