  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message AM298 - Address group & not defined; delete flag for address not possible ?

The SAP error message AM298 ("Address group & not defined; delete flag for address not possible") typically occurs in the context of Asset Accounting (FI-AA) when you are trying to delete an address for an asset, but the address group associated with that asset is not defined in the system.

    Cause:

    1. Undefined Address Group: The address group that is supposed to be linked to the asset is not defined in the system. This can happen if the address group was not created or if it was deleted.

    3. Data Integrity Issues: There might be inconsistencies in the data where the asset is trying to reference an address group that does not exist.

      • Ensure that the address group you are trying to use is created and properly configured.
