What causes this issue?

The item category can't be changed, because serial numbers have been
already entered.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

Undo the change and delete the serial numbers on the Spec2000 / SC item
detail subscreen before changing the item category.
