Message class: ACRSL - Messages for Depreciation Keys and Calculation Methods
Message number: 047
Message text: &: Total percentage rate deprec. not allowed with shutdown indicator
You chose a base method that uses the 'Total percentage rate' (G)
depreciation method. When this method is used, you enter the overall
percentage rate with which depreciation should be calculated up to a
given point in time. However, this is not an annual percentage rate.
Therefore, it is not possible to take shutdowns into account, since
these would reduce or increase an annual percentage rate. As an
alternative, you should choose the 'Explicit percentage rate' (P)
depreciation method.
The depreciation key is saved as inactive.
Choose a different base method, or deselect the 'shutdown' indicator.

ACRSL047
- &: Total percentage rate deprec. not allowed with shutdown indicator ?The SAP error message ACRSL047 indicates that there is an issue with the depreciation calculation for an asset that has been marked with a shutdown indicator. This error typically arises in the context of Asset Accounting (FI-AA) when trying to process depreciation for an asset that is not supposed to be depreciated due to its shutdown status.
Cause:
The error occurs because the system does not allow the calculation of a total percentage rate of depreciation for an asset that has been flagged as "shutdown." When an asset is in a shutdown state, it is generally not expected to incur depreciation, as it is not in use.
Solution:
To resolve this error, you can take the following steps:
Check Asset Status: Verify the status of the asset in question. If the asset is indeed in a shutdown state, you should not attempt to calculate depreciation for it.
Remove Shutdown Indicator: If the asset is no longer in a shutdown state and should be depreciated, you can remove the shutdown indicator. This can typically be done in the asset master data (transaction code AS02).
Adjust Depreciation Settings: If the asset should remain in a shutdown state but you still need to process depreciation, consider adjusting the depreciation settings or using a different method of accounting for the asset during its shutdown period.
Consult Documentation: Review the SAP documentation or consult with your SAP support team for specific guidelines on handling assets in a shutdown state and the implications for depreciation.
Run Depreciation Program: After making the necessary adjustments, run the depreciation program again (transaction code AFAB) to see if the error persists.
Related Information:
Transaction Codes:
SAP Notes: Check for any relevant SAP Notes that may address this specific error or provide additional guidance.
Asset Accounting Configuration: Review the configuration settings in Asset Accounting to ensure that they align with your organization's policies regarding asset depreciation and shutdown procedures.
By following these steps, you should be able to resolve the ACRSL047 error and ensure that your asset accounting processes run smoothly.
