What causes this issue?

You are using Japan-specific depreciation keys.
One or more of your fixed assets has a useful life of more than 100
years.

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

The Japan-specific depreciation keys use information from a table
containing the depreciation percentage rates allowed by law (in ac
cordance with the ordinance for useful life, TAIYO NENSU SHOREI).
The following Japan-specific depreciation keys access the
above-mentioned table:
DB: Old Declining-Balance Method (using country-specific depreciation
method 2)
SLT: Old Straight-Line Method w/ Scrap Value (using country-specific
depreciation method 1)
SLI: Old Straight-Line Method w/o Scrap Value (using country-specific
depreciation method 1)
DS: Straight-Line Method after Method Change (using country-specific
depreciation method 1)
DB7: 250% Declining Balance Method (using country-specific depreciation
method 5, 6)
DB11: 200% Declining Balance Method (using country-specific depreciation
method 7, 8)
DS7: Straight-Line Method after 2007.04 (using country-specific
depreciation method 6)
DS11: Straight-Line Method after 2012.04 (using country-specific
depreciation method 8)
However, none of the depreciation percentage rates allowed by law are
based on a useful life of more than 100 years.
