  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

In the screen "Single Characteristics", no probabilities can be changed
from 0 to any other value. The probability is derived from the value of
the combination. Changing the individual probabilities also changes the
probabilites of the affected combinations and correlated
characteristics. This calculation is based on the ratio for the
probabilities of the characteristic value in an individual combination
row. Because no ratio can be created for the 0 on the combination side,
the probability value 0 can not be changed.
The ratio calculation uses the following formula:
(new value of the combination row) := (old value of the combination
row) * (new value of characteristic value) / (old value of
    characteristic value).

    System Response

No change is made to the affected characteristic values.

    How to fix this error?

Change the probabilities for the relevant characteristic combinations.

    Procedure for System Administrators

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    5. Technical Issues: There could be underlying technical issues, such as problems with the database or the application server.

    Solutions:

    1. Check Historical Data: Ensure that there is sufficient and accurate historical data available for the item or product in question. Review the data for completeness and correctness.
    2. Review Configuration Settings: Verify the configuration settings in the planning area, key figures, and planning version. Ensure that they are set up correctly to allow for the calculation of usage probabilities.
    3. Adjust Time Periods: Make sure that the time periods being used for the calculations are valid and that they correspond to the available data.
    4. Run Data Consistency Checks: Use SAP tools to check for data consistency and integrity. This can help identify any issues with the data that may be causing the error.
    5. Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or notes related to the specific module you are working with for any additional troubleshooting steps or known issues.
