- Number range & for object &2 exhausted ?The SAP error message "61514 Number range & for object &2 exhausted" indicates that a specific number range for a particular object has been completely used up. This typically occurs when the system has assigned all available numbers in the defined range for that object, and no more numbers are available for assignment.
Cause:
- Exhausted Number Range: The number range defined for a specific object (like a document type, customer number, etc.) has been fully utilized.
- Configuration Issues: The number range may not have been configured to allow for sufficient numbers, or it may have been set to a very limited range.
- High Volume of Transactions: A high volume of transactions or objects being created can lead to the exhaustion of the number range more quickly than anticipated.
Solution:
To resolve this issue, you can take the following steps:
Check Current Number Range:
- Go to transaction code SNRO (Number Range Objects).
- Enter the object name (e.g., the object indicated in the error message) and check the current number range settings.
Extend the Number Range:
- If the number range is exhausted, you can extend it by adding more numbers to the range.
- In transaction SNRO, select the number range object and adjust the intervals to increase the available numbers.
Create a New Number Range:
- If extending the existing range is not feasible, you can create a new number range and assign it to the object.
- This can be done in the same transaction (SNRO) by creating a new interval.
Check for Configuration Errors:
- Ensure that the number range is correctly configured and that there are no restrictions that could lead to premature exhaustion.
Monitor Usage:
- After making changes, monitor the usage of the number range to ensure that it is sufficient for future transactions.
Related Information:
By following these steps, you should be able to resolve the error and prevent it from occurring in the future.
