  • What causes this issue?

    This message can appear while selecting or dragging and dropping one or
    more files in the info object list (IOL) or structure view when an
    attempt is made in the translation mode of SAP GUI to assign a
    translated version to an existing info object.
    The prerequisite is that the file format of the primary component of the
    existing info object is flagged as "translation relevant" in table
    IWDOCFRMT. Conversely, the file format of the primary component of the
    newly translated version is NOT translatable in accordance with the
    settings in table IWDOCFRMT.

    System Response

    The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    How to fix this error?

    Select a file format for the primary component that is valid for the
    translation. If this is not possible, contact the system administrator
    or check the settings of the selected file format.

    Procedure for System Administrators

    You can also use transaction SI24 to edit file formats or check
    translatability in SAP Knowledge Warehouse: <LS>SAP Knowledge Warehouse
    -> Settings in Knowledge Warehouse System -> Development of Info Objects
    -> File Formats of Info Objects</>.
    Alternatively, the entry can be changed in table IWDOCFRMT.
