Message text: Primary file is not translatable
This message can appear while selecting or dragging and dropping one or
more files in the info object list (IOL) or structure view when an
attempt is made in the translation mode of SAP GUI to assign a
translated version to an existing info object.
The prerequisite is that the file format of the primary component of the
existing info object is flagged as "translation relevant" in table
IWDOCFRMT. Conversely, the file format of the primary component of the
newly translated version is NOT translatable in accordance with the
settings in table IWDOCFRMT.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
Select a file format for the primary component that is valid for the
translation. If this is not possible, contact the system administrator
or check the settings of the selected file format.
You can also use transaction SI24 to edit file formats or check
translatability in SAP Knowledge Warehouse: <LS>SAP Knowledge Warehouse
-> Settings in Knowledge Warehouse System -> Development of Info Objects
-> File Formats of Info Objects</>.
Alternatively, the entry can be changed in table IWDOCFRMT.
