automatically adjusted in the process.
In the layout editor (F5), you can rearrange fields and delete lines in

- Dynpro is too big; maintenance size cannot be changed ?The SAP error message "37156 Dynpro is too big; maintenance size cannot be changed" typically occurs when you are trying to create or modify a screen (dynpro) in an SAP program, and the size of the screen exceeds the allowable limits set by the SAP system. This can happen during screen design in transaction SE80 or SE41, or when working with screen elements in a module pool.
Cause:
- Screen Size Limitations: SAP has predefined limits for the size of screens (dynpros). If the total number of fields, the size of the fields, or the overall layout exceeds these limits, you will encounter this error.
- Complex Layout: If the screen layout is too complex or has too many elements, it can lead to exceeding the maximum allowed size.
- Maintenance View Size: If you are trying to create or modify a maintenance view and the size of the view exceeds the allowed limits, this error can also occur.
Solution:
- Reduce Screen Size: Simplify the screen by reducing the number of fields or the complexity of the layout. Consider breaking down the screen into multiple smaller screens if necessary.
- Optimize Field Usage: Review the fields used on the screen and remove any unnecessary fields or combine fields where possible.
- Use Tab Strips: If you have many fields, consider using tab strips to organize fields into different tabs, which can help reduce the size of the main screen.
- Check for Unused Elements: Remove any unused elements or controls from the screen to free up space.
- Review Maintenance View: If the error occurs while working with a maintenance view, check the fields included in the view and ensure that it does not exceed the size limits.
