The SAP error message 29693 indicates that a Bill of Materials (BOM) for a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) element or material is not effective on a specified date. This error typically arises in scenarios where you are trying to use a BOM that is either not valid for the date you are working with or has not been properly maintained in the system.

    Cause:

    1. Date Validity: The BOM may not be valid for the date you are trying to use it. BOMs in SAP can have validity periods, and if the date falls outside this range, the system will throw this error.

    2. Activate/Release BOM:

      • If the BOM is inactive, you may need to activate or release it. This can be done in the BOM maintenance transaction (CS01/CS02).
    3. Verify WBS Element:

      • Ensure that the WBS element is correctly set up and that it is linked to the appropriate BOM. You can check this in the WBS element settings.
    4. Check Material Master:

      • Verify that the material associated with the BOM is correctly maintained in the material master. Ensure that all necessary views are filled out and that the material is active.
    5. Consult Documentation:
