Message text: Namenskonflikt für Name & wird zu Aktivierungsfehler führen
As of Release 4.0, data elements are in the same namespace as tables,
structures, views, and table pools and clusters. The namespaces used to
be separate. There can therefore be naming conflicts in this namespace,
for example, between a customer table in the SAP namespace and an SAP
data element.
Also see release note DDIC40_Namespace.
The name specified in the message is in the SAP namespace and has a
naming conflict. The naming conflicts in the SAP namespace were already
corrected at SAP by renaming the data elements. In this case, a data
element created by the customer is conflicting with an SAP table /
structure / view / table pool / cluster, or a table / structure / view /
table pool / cluster created by the customer is conflicting with an SAP
data element.
Das System gibt eine Fehlermeldung aus und erlaubt Ihnen nicht, mit dieser Transaktion fortzufahren, bis der Fehler behoben ist.
So that the version of the customer system and the SAP standard remain
consistent, the data elements with naming conflicts in the SAP namespace
that have not yet been corrected by SAP are not renamed in the customer
system.
You can delete the object concerned (data element or table / structure
/view / table pool / cluster that was created in the customer system in
the SAP namespace), if it is not required (for example, a table is used
in a program). You can find out whether objects are used in other
objects with the where-used list.
Otherwise deal with this object by copying it under a new name and
activating it. Then execute program RADDRCHK again to see whether the
new name causes any conflicts, and choose a different name if necessary.
To check for naming conflicts, the object must be active. If the new
name has no naming conflicts, change all occurrences of the old name,
such as the assignment of the data element to a table field or the use
of a structure as an include in a table. Then delete the object with the
old name.
The naming conflicts reported that are not corrected before upgrading to
Release 4.0 cause activation errors in the activation phase of the
upgrade.
In a later upgrade to a subsequent Release, these inconsistent objects
may have serious consequences for the entire upgrade and the running of
the SAP system. You are therefore strongly advised to correct the naming
conflicts that can lead to activation errors before the first upgrade to
Release 4.0, and at the latest after this upgrade.
