This monitoring attribute shows the total number of transactional RFC
calls that are waiting to be carried out by this SAP system. These calls
are RFC function module calls that are to be executed in another SAP
system or external component. The number here includes all calls,
regardless of their status. Other monitoring attributes break down this
total according to call status, type, and age.
In general, there should be few or no calls waiting. Exceptions are
possible if, for example, calls are being sent to an external component
that can process them only sequentially or if queued tRFC is being used.
In this case, a backlog of calls in status RECORDED (awaiting
processing) may build up. As long as this backlog is reduced in a
timely fashion this type of backlog is not a reason for concern.
