If a DataStore object is using the 'inventory' feature, it is not
possible to add characteristics, which have a compounding parent of type
'TIME'.
In providers of this kind, 'TIME' is a special dimension, which is
reserved for time reconstruction. Using this in compounding or as join
fields would result in unexpected query results.
