To improve the run time of the payroll driver when running payroll with
a log (and to save memory), you can exclude parts of the schema from
the log. To do so, you simply select the appropriate parts. You go back
using 'Copy', and can save your log restrictions together with the
remaining settings for the log display in the display variants (menu
option 'Settings -> Save Settings as a Variant').
Be aware that that the selected functions still appear in the log; only
no detailed view is displayed. The functions are the same as column 'P'
in the transaction PE01 as it appeared up to Release 3.1I. In contrast,
the display variant defined here is not dependent on the schema. Only
the selected functions (with the exact parameter values ) and the
frequency with which they appear are saved, for example, the xth
occurrence of the 'PIT' function with the parameter1 'X010'. If the
schema was changed or a different schema is used, the display variant
must be checked.
