possible variable names. However, this is not possible, as you can
enter any syntactically correct name that has not been used as a
variable name.
The system rejects the attempt.
Please enter a variable name that has not been used yet. You can list
all the variables that have already been used using the input help in
the initial "Display variable" screen.
