External target groups are those created in an external system (as
opposed to CRM). Only header information and the external attributes of
these target groups is currently stored in CRM.
The first time a target group of this kind is imported, it is created
in CRM using a function module. An external target group can also be
re-exported to:
The external system from which it originated
Another external system
When an external target group is being imported, it can only be changed
using the function module if the import is from the same external
system as that from which the external target group originated.
