A restriction for the length of the item number applies due to the APO
System if you carry out the availability check in SAP APO and due to the
R/3 System if you carry out availability check in SAP R/3. Both systems
only provide 6 characters for the item number, whereas the SAP CRM
System can use 10-character item numbers.
