Diagnosis
The system found that more than one old customer numbers are planned to
be merged to the Target Customer number as per the mapping. However, not
all the old numbers have identical master data settings. It was found
that old customer numbers have different <ZH>'Deletion Flag for Master
Record (Company Code Level)'.</>
This is determined by the indicator <ZH>'Deletion Flag for Master Record
(Company Code Level)' </>(field <ZH>KNB1-LOEVM</>).
The problem may occur due to merger of customers having different master
data settings and this may lead to inconsistencies in some applications
related to target customer data.
System Response
<ZH>Error</>
From a technical perspective, this message can be ignored. This may make
sense in the following cases:
No postings to the respective customers have been made.
The respective customers are not used any longer and are meant to be
merged into a dummy customer.
Procedure
Analyze the situation and either change the mapping so that only
customers with identical master data settings are merged or decide to
ignore the message because one of the prerequisites described above
applies.
In case you decide to ignore the error irrespective of the above
mentioned cases, you should consider that <ZH>the target customer will
retain the 'Deletion Flag for Master Record (Company Code Level)' of the
old customer number on which priority indicator is set.</> The
post-conversion impact of this should be properly evaluated and the
inconsistencies that it may have post-conversion should be estimated at
this stage.
