The following causes may apply:
Material &V1& is a component in a BOM. In the item data of this BOM
component, you have entered the class type which is used to classify the
material.
You can enter the class type of a BOM component if you want to use the
classification data of a material as a selection condition in
<DS:GLOS.variant_configuration>variant configuration</>.
Material &V1& is a batch material and is classified in a batch class
type. Either there are still related batches that are classified, or the
material has a product unit of measure (material master).
