retirement are not allowed.

If you intend that the value date should be before the last retirement,
you first have to reverse the retirement. After you reverse it, it is
possible to change the value date. When you then subsequently repost
the retirement, the changed document is included in the calculation of
the retirement values, since it is before the value date of the
retirement.
