  1. Enter the transaction code /MRSS/RM_MDATA into the command field in SAP. 
  2. Select the “Customizing” tab in the top menu bar. 
  3. Select “Resource Types” from the left-hand menu. 
  4. Select “Create” from the top menu bar to create a new resource type. 
  5. Enter a name for the new resource type and select “Save” to save it. 
  6. Repeat steps 3-5 for each additional resource type you wish to create. 
  7. Select “Resource Groups” from the left-hand menu and repeat steps 4-6 to create new resource groups. 
  8. Select “Resource Categories” from the left-hand menu and repeat steps 4-6 to create new resource categories. 
  9. Select “Settings” from the left-hand menu and configure any additional settings for the Resource Management module as needed. 
  10. Select “Save” to save all changes
