taken place for this period, or the balance from the previous year has
not been carried forward.

If you with to transfer the period 01:
Create an opening balance (select the check box "Opening balance")
or
Carry the balance from the previous year forward.
For other periods:
Carry out the transfer for the previous period or
Create an opening balance (check box "Opening balance").
