The curriculum is inconsistent because it infringes the sequence rules
of the corresponding curriculum type. However, it is not possible now to
change the curriculum since bookings have been made for it

You have two options:
Cancel all of the participation bookings for it. You can then change the
curriculum as required and rebook the participants for the consistent
curriculum.
Change the curriculum type so that it matches the sequence rules of your
curriculum.
