¿Qué causa este problema?

The layout contains an attribute in the general selections. In this
case the characteristic, which the attribute belongs to, must exist as
a free characteristic ('*' characteristic) in the layout. If this was
not the case, the restriction to one attribute value would have no
practical effect since attributes are not maintained in the aspect
table.
