  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

You require key figure field &V1& for your planning scenario. The list
of info cube field assignments contains this field but it is not
assigned to an info cube field.
If no info cube fields are assigned to a key figure field, you cannot
extract data about the actual data key figure from the BW system.

    How to fix this error?

If you do not want to use any actual data for the relevant key figure
in your planning or if no actual data exists for the key figure, you
should not complete the settings for assignments to key figure field
    &V1&.
If you do want to use actual data for the key figure in your planning,
go to maintenance for BW-specific settings at scenario level and assign
an info cube field to key figure field &V1&.

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message WXP562 - Key figure field &1 is not assigned to an infocube field ?

    SAP Error Message:
WXP562 Key figure field &1 is not assigned to an infocube field

    Cause:

This error occurs when a key figure field referenced in a query, report, or transformation is not assigned or linked to any key figure in the underlying InfoCube. Essentially, the system expects a key figure field to be mapped to a corresponding InfoCube key figure, but it finds none.

Common scenarios causing this error include:

    • The key figure field used in a query or transformation does not exist in the InfoCube.
    • The InfoProvider (InfoCube or DSO) has been changed, and the key figure field was removed or renamed, but the query or transformation was not updated accordingly.
    • Incorrect or incomplete assignment of key figure fields during query or transformation design.
    • Using a key figure field in a BEx query or in a transformation that is not part of the InfoCube's key figures.

    Solution:

    1. Check the InfoCube Key Figures:

      • Go to the InfoCube in the Data Warehousing Workbench (transaction RSA1).
      • Verify that the key figure field mentioned in the error (&1) exists in the InfoCube.
      • If it does not exist, either add the key figure to the InfoCube or remove the reference to this key figure field in the query or transformation.
    2. Check the Query or Transformation:

      • Open the BEx Query Designer or the transformation where the error occurs.
      • Verify that all key figure fields used are correctly assigned and exist in the InfoCube.
      • Remove or replace any key figure fields that are not assigned to the InfoCube.
    3. Reassign or Correct the Key Figure Field:

      • If the InfoCube was changed (e.g., key figure deleted or renamed), update the query or transformation accordingly.
      • Reassign the correct key figure field in the query or transformation.
    4. Transport and Activation:

      • After making changes, activate the InfoCube and the query or transformation.
      • If changes were transported from another system, ensure that all objects are consistent and activated.
    5. Check for Metadata Inconsistencies:

      • Sometimes metadata inconsistencies cause this error.
      • Run consistency checks on the InfoCube and related objects.
      • Use transaction RSRV (BW system check) to identify and fix inconsistencies.

    Related Information:

    • Transaction RSA1: Data Warehousing Workbench to manage InfoCubes and key figures.
    • BEx Query Designer: Tool to design queries; verify key figure assignments here.
    • Transformation Maintenance: Check transformations for correct field mappings.
    • SAP Notes: Search SAP Support Portal for notes related to WXP562 for specific patches or known issues.
    • Consistency Checks: Use RSRV to check BW system consistency.

    Summary:

The error WXP562 indicates a mismatch between the key figure field used in a query or transformation and the actual key figures defined in the InfoCube. The solution is to ensure that all key figure fields referenced are properly assigned and exist in the InfoCube, and to update or correct queries and transformations accordingly.
