  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

You require version field &V1& for your planning scenario. Version
field &V1& must be assigned to infocube field &V2&. No entries
currently exist for this, however, in the list of infocube field
    assignments.

    How to fix this error?

Go to maintenance for BW-specific settings at the planning level for
scenarios. Check if an info cube has been assigned to all storage
periodicities. If info cubes have been assigned to all periodicities,
but no list of available cube fields exist, generate a list using the
    <PF>Cube Info</> function.
Refresh the scenario fields by selecting <PF>Refresh</>. Version fields
are assigned automatically if field &V2& exists in all the info cubes
you have used in your planning.

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message WXP557 - Version field &1 is not assigned to any infocube fields ?
    SAP Error Message:
WXP557 Version field &1 is not assigned to any infocube fields

Cause: This error occurs in SAP BW (Business Warehouse) when a version field defined in a query or transformation is not linked or assigned to any field in the underlying InfoCube. In other words, the system expects a version characteristic (like 0VERSION) to be mapped to a corresponding InfoCube field, but it finds none. Common scenarios causing this error: The InfoCube does not contain the version characteristic (e.g., 0VERSION). The version characteristic exists in the InfoCube but is not assigned or mapped properly in the query or transformation. The query or transformation is referencing a version field that is not part of the InfoCube's structure. Inconsistent or missing assignment in the transformation or query definition.
Solution: Check InfoCube Structure: Verify that the InfoCube contains the version characteristic (usually 0VERSION). If the version characteristic is missing, add it to the InfoCube and activate the cube. Check Query Definition: Open the query
