What causes this issue?

You have defined plan characteristic &V1& in the planning step used.
However, plan characteristic &V1& also has characteristic &V3& in the
master data table key. Characteristic &V3& does not, however, exist in
the planning hierarchy or it contains a planning level below
characteristic &V1&.
Characteristic value &V2& for plan characteristic &V1& cannot be used
if it does not compare with the data in the master data table.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

Include characteristic &V2& in the planning hierarchy above
characteristic &V1&.
