  • Message class: WU - Promotion management messages

  • Message text: Item category not defined in all materials

  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

The item category is not defined in every material. If an allocation
table type is maintained in Customizing for the
<DS:SIMG.W_ZF_VK_0220>Promotion type</>, this allocation table type is
copied automatically. Otherwise, the allocation table type can be
maintained in the promotion basic data.
The appropriate standard item category is determined from the
<DS:SIMG.W_ZF_VK_0410>Allocation table type</> which you can maintain
in allocation table Customizing. This value is then copied as the
default value in the promotion items. If the item category is not
maintained, the system cannot determine the source of supply.

    How to fix this error?

Maintain the item category in the promotion logistics control at item
    level.
